There are many small(er) news items that support or lend context to the new norms Janus Dialogs follows. As such, I’ll be gathering these together into a single running update. Below are the updates for the Digitizing of Everything.
Now the human body is bring digitized. Not the mapping of DNA (already done) but the functions of the human physiological systems. The BIO-MIMETICS, an MIT (@MITnews) lead project, “will create a platform that can incorporate up to 10 human organ systems in a single interacting circuit. The modules will be designed to mimic the functions of specific organ systems representing a broad spectrum of human tissues, including the circulatory, endocrine, gastrointestinal, immune, integumentary, musculoskeletal, nervous, reproductive, respiratory and urinary systems.” [reported by @BigThink]
Bullets are the newest thing to be digitized. The old spark+gunpowder+projectile+barreling has been replaced with optic sensors, laser beams, directional fins and a range of over a mile with 8″ accuracy.
As cash becomes digital, there is the need to decide how to “carry” it. iCache (love the name BTW) from
@GeodeWallet is one such solution. Also interesting is that iCache is a successful KickStarter project – responding to the change in currency with a changing business model – priceless.
Note: As always, the desire of Janus Dialogs is not to adjudicate the appropriateness of any trend, but to bring it to the forefront for consideration by the caretakers for the shared moments in time we call experience marketing.
